Data reduction and analysis

To date, the only data reduction performed has been the standard procedures (bias subtraction, flat-fielding, and cosmic ray rejection) and determination of spatial coordinates (from the position and position angle of Jupiter). Questions of torus morphology can be addressed at this stage, but subtraction of jovian scattered light and intensity calibration (from the disk of Jupiter) must be performed for full analysis. Once this is performed, we can use these data, the first synoptic imaging dataset of the Io plasma torus, to address several important questions, among which are:
