After the Honeymoon
Carey and Mel came home by train
from their honeymoon in Prague.
They arrived home at 3:15 p.m.
and found their new pet ferret named Oscar
waiting expectantly. Off to bed for a good night's rest!
The next morning Mel made eggs
for Carey and Laura. They went shopping to refill the refridgerator and got
tomatoes and bagels at the store. That evening Carey made
merlot for dinner and they settled down to read their mail.
They had received a card from Bill Clinton, Gary Oldman,
and Bob B. They had also gotten $20
in gifts, which they were eager to spend.
Tuesday, George called Carey and said that the freezer
was broken at St. D's. Could he fix it?
June called saying they had an emergency meeting--they had received
70 grant proposals. Mitchell called saying the choir was
singing "hymn #313"
on Sunday, so be sure to practice the tenor part.
Diane called and said, could you make carrot cake
for coffee hour? At that point Mel and Carey decided to go to
California by train
for another 10 weeks of honeymoon!
