After the Honeymoon
Carey and Mel came home by car
from their honeymoon in Timbuktu.
They arrived home at 0800
and found their new pet pot bellied pig named Melanie
waiting expectantly. Off to bed for a good night's rest!
The next morning Mel made orange
for Carey and Laura. They went shopping to refill the refridgerator and got
carrots and macaroni & cheese at the store. That evening Carey made
chicken for dinner and they settled down to read their mail.
They had received a card from Spencer Black, Gary Oldman,
and Patricia Kazmyrick. They had also gotten $30
in gifts, which they were eager to spend.
Tuesday, George called Carey and said that the refrigerator
was broken at St. D's. Could he fix it?
June called saying they had an emergency meeting--they had received
20 grant proposals. Mitchell called saying the choir was
singing "I Am But a Stranger Here"
on Sunday, so be sure to practice the tenor part.
Diane called and said, could you make strawberry shortcake
for coffee hour? At that point Mel and Carey decided to go to
Wisconsin Dells by Mel's car
for another 36 weeks of honeymoon!
